The number of confirmed playable heroes in the game has expanded to 12 with the additions of Kylo Ren and Yoda.

As the release of Star Wars Battlefront II is now just two weeks away, EA has confirmed two more heroes that gamers can use in battle and campaign modes. The two additions are a couple of the most powerful force users in Star Wars lore.

Kylo Ren, formerly Ben Solo, is the powerful force-sensitive agent of the First Order whose story will continue in Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. While film franchise fans await the release of that movie, gamers can put Kylo Ren in many different situations throughout the universe.

Kylo Ren’s abilities in the game include “Frenzy,” which depicts him leaping from one enemy to the next, doling out significant damage. He can also close the gaps between himself and his opponents using “Pull.” With that ability, he uses the force to hurl enemies toward himself.

Kylo Ren’s most remarkable ability is “Freeze.” Using this power, he can literally stop his enemies in his tracks and eliminate them at his leisure.

Getting into close combat is something that opponents facing Kylo Ren should avoid at all costs. A more successful strategy would be to lead him into places on the map where grenades and/or mines have been set.

Taking damage is something that Yoda is much more able to handle in the game.

Yoda’s most formidable ability is “Presence,” which allows him to heal not only himself but his allies on the map as well. Besides that, Yoda can use “Dash Attack” and “Unleash” to instill damage upon his enemies.

Yoda’s abilities are all centered on putting him in charge of the battle, so a solid game plan for defeating him would be to put him on the defensive with waves of attacks coming from different sides.

As previously mentioned, this pair of new confirmations brings the total number of playable heroes which we know will be included in the game to a dozen. The previous 10 heroes are just as formidable and have a number of dynamic abilities that will make them just as fun to play as Kylo Ren and Yoda.

Rumors are that Lando Calrissian and Leia Organa are the final two playable characters in Battlefront II, but those beliefs have neither been confirmed nor denied by Dice or EA yet. If/when they are confirmed, those characters will fill out a stellar roster for gamers to become experts with.
