These five college football coaches on the hot seat will need a win in Week 10.

The season of change is upon us in college football. Week 10 has arrived and that means it’s time for coaches to seek employment elsewhere as programs move on. Some programs have already made changes this season and more are likely to follow suit.

There are plenty of big names that should soon be out of a job and that’s going to leave plenty of openings across college football. Several openings will be available for profile jobs and programs will begin their search for their next head coach.

This week is going to be pivotal for many coaches. With only a month left on the season, teams are going to be ready to abandon ship with what they have and prepare to build toward something new again. Here are five coaches that need a win in Week 10.

Mike Riley

The Nebraska Cornhuskers are racing toward another average finish. At this point, the hope is they can make another bowl game and finish the season strong. Mike Riley on the other hand is hoping for a miracle.

He’s hoping his team can win out, win their bowl and get to nine wins. It seems like a steep uphill climb but their schedule certainly isn’t as difficult anymore. As has been said on this watch list each week, he’s in a holding pattern.

It’s hard to see him coming back with the old athletic director gone and Scott Frost a potential candidate. Stranger things have happened, but this appears to be a marriage headed toward an end after the year.
