The bigger story, though, is the return of Claire Forlani as Alicia Brown; last we saw her, she was on course to be the latest love interest for Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin), so is this the episode where they officially become a couple?

Will she last longer in that respect than Lynn Downey (Sarah Carter) last year? Will Hawaii Five-0 season 8 make any reference to the fact that Alicia technically has a doppleganger, since the past cameo from Sam Hanna proves that Five-0 and NCIS: Los Angeles exist in the same universe, and Claire Forlani also recurred as Lauren Hunter on NCIS: LA?
