The team will appear in a parade on Friday afternoon, followed by a big celebration outside City Hall at the end of the parade route. The parade and celebration will be televised live and available online for fans who can’t make it to Houston for the big bash.

According to local news station ABC 13, the parade will wind through Downtown Houston, starting at the corner to Smith St. and Lamar St., and will make a loop until the team ends up back on Lamar St. at City Hall, where Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner will join with other city officials to congratulate the team on this milestone accomplishment.

The Houston Astros became a symbol of hope and strength for the city after Hurricane Harvey struck in August and caused widespread devastation across the state. Their journey through the postseason all the way to the World Series was a tribute to their hometown as well as an inspiration to a city that refuses to let a hurricane knock it down.
