One team that deserves a special mention is UAB who is one win away from becoming bowl-eligible in their first season back playing FBS football. This is further proof that this program should have never been disbanded to begin with and the job everyone involved in reviving the program from the student body to the boosters to the academic support staff and all of the football players, coaches and medical staff should get first-class tickets to wherever their bowl game will be played. They’re an easy team to root for, so here’s to hoping the Blazers get that sixth win.
