With Jimmy Garoppolo making his 49ers debut on Sunday, the team’s Week 9 game against the Cardinals will be a must-watch. Here’s how to tune in.

The San Francisco 49ers made waves in the news around the trade deadline when they made a move to acquire Jimmy Garoppolo from the New England Patriots to start Week 9, and now we’ll see what’s next for the Niners as they battle the Arizona Cardinals at home on Sunday.

No one knows whether or not Garoppolo will actually be used in Sunday’s Week 9 matchup, with Kyle Shanahan mentioning the possibility that Garoppolo won’t even play at all in 2017 for the team as they look to give him the best chance to improve their organization as a whole. There shouldn’t be much harm in playing him as soon as possible, and it’ll be interesting to see if Shanahan’s coaching philosophy changes before Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals are not the same team as we saw a few weeks ago around the time of their acquisition of Adrian Peterson. They lost Carson Palmer with a broken arm in a blowout loss in their last game, and now they’ll look to bounce back after the bye with a big win over the Niners on Sunday.
