Is The Good Doctor new tonight, November 1? We let you know if ABC is airing a new episode of The Good Doctor season 1 on Monday and what to expect.

Is The Good Doctor new tonight, November 1? Fans may be wondering if ABC is airing an episode of the Freddie Highmore-led freshman hit on Monday, given the network’s shifting schedule to fit its event coverage.

The answer is no, The Good Doctor is not new tonight. ABC has pre-empted the show on Nov. 1 to continue to build hype for its coverage of the 51st annual CMA Awards, which are being shown on Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Instead of more of Freddie Highmore, viewers will be watching Living Every Day: Luke Bryan, an hour-long special devoted to CMA Award winner Luke Bryan, who will also be judging ABC’s new American Idol next year.

So now that we can answer the question of is The Good Doctor new tonight, when will the show be back?

The Good Doctor season 1 will return next week. Its next new episode will air on Monday, Nov. 13 in the show’s regular 10 p.m. time slot. In the episode, called “22 Steps,” Dr. Shaun Murphy (played by Highmore) treats a patient who also has autism and is surprised at the negative reception that he receives.

That ought to make for some interesting drama when the show resumes. Until then, fans will be able to catch up on the currently aired episodes via ABC.com, ABC on Demand, and FuboTV.

Is The Good Doctor new tonight? No, but a new episode is just a week around the corner and at least fans can binge-watch the existing installments if you still want to check into the hospital.
