The Green Bay Packers will play host to the Detroit Lions in an NFC North matchup on Monday Night Football to cap Week 9.

The Green Bay Packers suffered a devastating loss a couple of weeks ago, as Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone against the Minnesota Vikings. The following week, the New Orleans Saints came to town, and new starting quarterback Brett Hundley struggled to move the ball through the air. He finished with only 87 yards passing in front  of the home crowd, which is around what Rodgers averages in a quarter.

Hundley and company will get another chance to impress the home crowd in Week 9, and this time it will be in primetime against a division rival. The Detroit Lions come to town to take on a Packers team fresh off their bye week, and are coming off of three straight losses. There is no better time to be playing the Packers inside Lambeau then without Rodgers, so expect the Lions to be fired up in this one.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford was given the biggest contract in the league this past offseason, and he has played up to the money thus far. He has thrown 12 touchdowns against only four interceptions this season, and has a bevy of weapons in the passing game. Star wideout Golden Tate is expected to be ready to roll after battling some nagging injuries, and he and Marvin Jones both have over 400 yards receiving this season.

Odds

Line: Green Bay (+2.5)

Over/Under: 43.0

The Green Bay Packers are home underdogs in this one, as they are getting 2.5 points from their divisional rival. The over/under is set at 43.0, which may wind up being too high of a number considering the Packers are without Aaron Rodgers. This line and over/under has yet to be released, so head on over to OddsShark.com for any changes up until kickoff.

The loss of Rodgers is huge, and the Lions can smell blood in the water. The real issue here is which Packers team will come out of the bye week, and did they have enough time to get Hundley ready to be productive in the passing game. Detroit wins a close on Monday night, moving into a tie with the Packers for second place in the NFC North.
