Raiders at Dolphins: Highlights, score and recap
On Sunday night in South Florida, the Miami Dolphins fell to the Oakland Raiders. What came out of this prime time affair?
Neither the Oakland Raiders nor Miami Dolphins had to be feeling too good about themselves as they each prepared for this prime time tilt in South Florida.
Last Sunday, Jack Del Rio’s team was rolled at Buffalo, 34-14. Three days earlier at Baltimore, the ‘Fins looked lifeless at Baltimore, 40-0. Backup quarterback Matt Moore had a horrendous evening but Jay Cutler was back for this clash with the Silver and Black.
So which team would get back on track this weekend? Del Rio’s club would own a 20-9 lead in the third quarter and never relinquished it on the way to a 27-24 victory.
Three Stars
1. Jared Cook
The veteran pass-catcher was targeted nine times and caught eight passes for 126 yards as the Silver and Black got a big road win.
2. Derek Carr
It was a nice bounce back effort for the Raiders and their quarterback. Carr did throw an interception and fumbled twice. But he also threw for exactly 300 yards and one touchdown as Oakland won for only the second time in their last nine outings.
3. Marshawn Lynch
The Raiders finished with only 84 yards on the ground against an improved Miami Dolphins’ defense. But one week after sitting out due to suspension, Lynch rebounded with 14 carries for 57 yards and two touchdowns in Oakland’s road victory.

Odds
Despite a 3-5 record and five losses in their last six games, the Silver and Black entered Sunday night’s contest as a 3-point road favorite over the host Dolphins. The over/under stood at 44.5.
Next Week
The Oakland Raiders have next weekend off and hope to work on some things that will help the team find some consistency. The Miami Dolphins are back on the road but make the relatively-short trip to face the Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football.
