The extra rest should help Toronto later the season but has also helped the development of Pascal Siakim, Jakob Poeltl, Delon Wright, and OG Anunoby.

Rookie Lauri Markkanen has had a strong start of the season for the Bulls, leading the team in scoring. The Finnish forward is averaging 16.3 points and nine rebounds per game. Markkanen is benefiting from the Bobby Portis and Nikola Mirotic fight. Portis’ suspension and Mirotic’s injury has allowed the rookie to play 33 minutes per game.
