The college football recruiting landscape is forever changing and this is what happened in Week 10.

As we roll into the month of November, it’s only right that we take a look at where teams rank as the College Football Playoff polls are finally released. However, there are plenty of top programs already looking toward the future as their immediate playoff hopes are shot.

The future? Yes, I’m talking about recruiting. There was plenty of action from Week 10, in terms of commitments and de-commitments, including Butch Jones and Tennessee receiving more bad news.

Let’s take a look at some of the top stories from our weekly recruiting roundup.

Note: Latest commitments, rankings and scheduled visits come from 247Sports.

Tennessee loses five-star commit

Even Tennessee Volunteer commits know something is up with the head coaching situation in Knoxville. Butch Jones’ seat is as hot as anyone’s in college football these days and that’s been reflected by a five-star de-commit from the nation’s No. 2 offensive tackle for 2018, Cade Mays. This has to hurt for Vols fans, knowing that Mays likely isn’t the last to jump ship. He was also listed as the No. 15 overall recruit in the class as an Army All-American.

Rutgers flips Miami commit

Yes, you read that correctly, Rutgers has flipped a commitment from a four-star quarterback who was originally pledged to Miami. Chris Ash swiped four-star pro-style quarterback Artur Sitkowski this past week from Mark Richt — surprising given the direction of each program. Sitkowski is a quarterback for powerhouse IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., and is ranked No. 113 overall in the 2018 class. Does he see a better chance to play early in Piscataway than in Coral Gables? More than likely.

Notre Dame lands a pair

The Fighting Irish landed two talented athletes in its 2018 class in Week 10. The first was Geordon Porter, a three-star receiver from California, and the second was Joe Wilkins Jr., a three-star athlete from Florida. This just goes to show that the reach of Brian Kelly’s success is coast-to-coast and he’s only going to land more recruits as long as the Fighting Irish continue to win.

Recruiting battle in North Carolina

Despite having a nightmare season, North Carolina landed two recruits in Week 10. The first was three-star defensive end Nick Fulwider from Georgia and the second was thee-star running back Devon Lawrence from North Carolina. The in-state battle with NC State didn’t stop there, though, as the suddenly-hot Wolfpack picked up a pledge from four-star tackle Alim McNeill from Raleigh.
