High Salary PG

D’Angelo Russell, BKN at POR ($7,600): Russell had a poor fantasy game against Denver giving owners only 24 points, but he’s averaging 36 FPPG for the season and has a good match-up. The Blazers rank 24th against the position, with the majority of point guards collecting their fantasy through points. They’re giving up 27.4 points to opposing point guards, which is the second highest mark in the league. Russell can score in bunches and that could be an issue for Portland. ****

Kyrie Irving, BOS vs CHA ($8,400): The Hornets are sixth in team three point attempts given up and opposing fantasy point guards are shooting 37 percent against them. Irving is averaging a career high in 3-point attempts, although that comes with a career low in 3-point percentage. He’s 4-21 in his last three games from three. While the match-up dictates him letting it fly from 3, this feels like a game where Irving plays within the Celtics system, has a well-rounded stat line and is right around his average of 39.7 FPPG. ***

Russell Westbrook, OKC vs LAC ($10,800): Westbrook has been all out of sorts the past week and it culminated with 29.5 fantasy points against the Nuggets. He won’t be hounded by Patrick Beverley on Friday night, but that might not matter with the way he’s been playing. He’s still capable of having a monster game, but spending nearly $11,000 on a guy who hasn’t been over 50 fantasy points in four straight games is a big risk. **
