The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon in Week 10. Here is a game preview, the betting odds and a final score prediction.

We have made it to Week 10 of the 2017 NFL season. One game going on in the early afternoon on Sunday will be between the New York Jets (4-5) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-6). Kickoff at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa will be at 1:00 p.m. ET on Nov. 12. Kevin Harlan and Rich Gannon will be in the booth to call the game for CBS.

New York has massively exceeded expectations this season. The Jets already have four wins on the season. Some thought this team would go 0-16. Now, the worst it could do is go 4-12, assuming the Jets lose out (they won’t). The Jets are getting excellent play from journeyman quarterback Josh McCown. Overall, most of the offseason moves the Jets made have worked out in their favor.

Tampa Bay has flopped into being one of the worst teams in football. After starting the year out at a promising 2-1, the Buccaneers have dropped five straight games. With starting quarterback Jameis Winston out for this one with a shoulder injury, the Buccaneers will turn to former Jets starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to hopefully lead them to victory over his former team.

Betting Odds

Point Spread: Tampa Bay +2.5
Moneylines: New York -135, Tampa Bay +120
Over/Under: 43.5

According to OddsShark, the Buccaneers will be getting 2.5 points at home from the visiting Jets. The associated moneylines for this game are New York -135 and Tampa Bay +120. This game’s over/under comes in at a combined 43.5 points.

Since both journeyman quarterbacks in Fitzpatrick and McCown like to sling it, let’s go with the over in this one. No, this will not be a pretty game for either club. However, it will be one of the most competitive games of the week in the NFL.

Tampa Bay will look to extend its 21-17 lead with a 50-yard field goal attempt. Being that this is Tampa Bay, that attempt will not be a successful one. With excellent field position, McCown will be able to lead the Jets offense down the field for a late go-ahead score.

Tampa Bay will have time for one more possession. Fitzpatrick will look great at moments on this final drive, extending it with his legs on a few occasions. However, an errant YOLO ball will find its way into rookie safety Jamal Adams’ hands to seal it. By a nose, the Jets are able to win and cover the 2.5-point spread.

Pick: Jets 24, Buccaneers 21
