Saints at Bills: Preview, prediction, odds and pick
We’re getting ready to see the New Orleans Saints and Buffalo Bills collide in Orchard Park, New York. Which team will prevail in this contest?
It’s a pair of 7-9 teams from a season ago looking to make good in 2017. The 6-2 New Orleans Saints, fresh off a 30-10 drubbing of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, head to Orchard Park. On the other hand, the improving Buffalo Bills do own a 5-3 record but are coming off a 34-21 L-O-S-S to the J-E-T-S.
Still, Sean McDermott’s team has enough weapons to keep an opposing defense busy. And could recently-acquired wideout Kelvin Benjamin rack up some big numbers against a Saints’ squad that he is more than familiar with. In any case, the Bills will be dealing with a much-improved New Orleans’ defensive unit that has limited five of its last six opponents to 17 points or less.
It all makes for an intriguing interconference encounter in the land of chicken wings.
Odds
Line: Saints (-2.5)
Over/Under: 46.5
This is a hot Saints’ team that has really overcome its early issues to seize the top spot in the NFC South. New Orleans seems like a very realistic 2.5-point road favorite here (info provided by OddsShark). Keep an eye on the over/under as well.

Only the Philadelphia Eagles have a longer current winning streak than the New Orleans Saints. Also impressive is the fact that Brees and company have reeled off three consecutive road victories, including victories at Carolina and at Green Bay (who was minus Aaron Rodgers). On the other hand, the Buffalo Bills have to still be stinging after they got it handed to them in primetime by the New York Jets. Look for a bounce back effort from McDermott’s club. And the former Panthers’ defensive coordinator is more than familiar with what Brees is capable of.
Pick: Bills 27, Saints 19
