The USC Trojans face the Cal State Fullerton Titans on Friday, Nov. 10 in college basketball week one, and here’s all the info you need to watch.
USC has not had this much hype since the Tim Floyd days. This year, USC comes into the season ranked number ten to start the season, and is one of the favorites this year to take home the award for the best Pac-12 team in the conference. USC is coming off a season where they had a school record 26 wins and brought back virtually its entire roster. The top eight scorers from last year’s team are back and are joined by transfer Derryck Thornton and three highly ranked freshmen in Charles O’ Bannon, Jordan Usher and Victor Uyaelunma. Expect USC to do very well in the Pac-12 this year with a very experienced squad leading the way, along with head coach Andy Enfield.
Last year, Cal State Fullerton went 17-15 and finished third in the Big West Conference. Like USC, the Titans return three of their starters from last years team. Junior guard Khalil Ahmad is CS Fullerton’s top returning scorer at 11.2 points a game. Cal State Fullerton is predicted to finish third in the conference in the Big West preseason poll. USC leads the all-time series with Cal State Fullerton 5-0, with their last victory coming back in November 2014, as they beat the Titans in a nail-biter 53-49.
