High Salary PG

Russell Westbrook, OKC vs DAL ($10,800): Westbrook has been below his 46 FPPG in three straight contests, but finds himself with a favorable match-up on Sunday. The Mavericks have the 27th ranked defense and are currently starting Dirk Nowitzki at center. Nowitzki, while still capable of scoring, was never much of a defender or rim protector. At 39-years-old, he’s even worse now. Look for Westbrook to be in attack mode, leading to points in the paint for him and good looks for his teammates as he draws the defense in. *****

Reggie Jackson, DET vs MIA ($6,500): Jackson had a strong performance his last time out against the Hawks, scoring 22 points while adding six assists and three rebounds. Miami presents a tough defense, but Jackson looks healthy and appears to be back to his form from two-years ago. Detroit will need that Jackson to show up as this one should be a defensive slugfest. ***

High Value PG

Dennis Smith Jr., DAL at OKC ($5,900): Smith Jr. had 44.6 fantasy points against Washington and followed that up with 48.5 fantasy points on Saturday night against Cleveland. He’s playing with a lot of confidence right now, which is saying a lot because he entered the league with his confidence on 100. The Thunder have the second-best defense in the league, but have struggled against quick scoring guards. ****

Darren Collison, IND vs HOU ($5,500): Collison is averaging 27.8 FPPG this season, but has been below that mark in three straight games. He’s struggled to score in his last two games, but he’s getting shots and is picking up assists. I’m expecting a bounce-back game from Collison as the Pacers enter into a shootout with the Rockets. ***
