here’s how you can watch the Vice Principals series finale online.
Last weeks episode of Vice Principals seemed to tie the story up in a neat little package which means it will probably be blown up in the finale. After finding significant (if circumstantial) evidence that linked Russell to his shooting, Gamby confronted his (former?) friend in episode 8.
Earlier in the season, Gamby and Russell teamed up to stop the other teachers sabotaging a standardized test. They succeeded, and in “Venetian Nights” Russell took his revenge on the teachers. Of course, he did this disguised as a reward, naming those who worked against him as ‘Gold Star Teachers’ with the privilege of extended office hours and chaperoning the prom.
After supporting him in earlier episodes the faculty at North Jackson was quick to turn on him in the shows penultimate episode. However, he ultimately untied then to take down Russell. Using a combination of intimidation and blackmail, Gamby secured Russell’s resignation. Interestingly, Russell never admitted to shooting Gamby, so that little thing still needs to be resolved.
Though Gamby has been moving towards redemption for much of Vice Principals season 2, he appeared to get there in episode 8, which concluded with him sharing a slow dance at the prom with Snodgrass. However, without a real confession, the true identity of his shooter remains uncertain. The fact that he confronted Russell in episode 8 actually makes me think Russell might be innocent. After all, up to this point Vice Principals hasn’t shown any tendency to wrap anything up neatly. However, as this is the final episode of Vice Principals, Gamby and Russell may have their stories wrapped p nicely.
The title of the final episode, ‘The Union of the Wizard and the Warrior’ implies some kind of reconciliation for Gamby and Russell. Presumably, they are the ‘wizard’ and ‘warrior’ named, though I’m not sure which is which.
