One coach on the hot seat officially had his tenure come to an end after Week 11 of the college football season.

The season of change is upon us in college football. Finally, the hot seat has become too much for some programs to handle and change has occurred. Butch Jones has been fired by Tennessee and now they will be moving on in a different direction.

Jones isn’t the only coach that is going to be fired however. There are still plenty of more coaches that are likely on their way out. In Week 11, it was a great week for some that needed a win and a terrible week for others.

The Tennessee drama will of course be the highlight from this week, but there were many winners and losers from Week 11. Here is how each coach that began the week on the hot seat ultimately did.

Loser – Mike Riley

Things continue to go from bad to worse for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. After losing in overtime last week and dropping below the .500 mark, they fell again this week to the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

They got crushed by Minnesota and never even stood a chance. That’s three blowout losses in their last five games. It’s one thing to lose a tough one like they did against Northwestern, but it’s another to rack up a bunch of games where the program rolled over.

Riley’s job was always going to be tough to keep with a program overhaul on the way. However, it could come sooner rather than later if the Cornhuskers continue to get blown out the way that they are.
