Triple H made his return to WWE RAW and replaced Jason Jordan for the 5-on-5 match at Survivor Series.

Triple H’s role on WWE television has been nonexistent following WrestleMania 33, ever since Seth Rollins defeated him. He, along with Stephanie McMahon, were held off RAW for the rest of the spring, the summer and half of the fall, before the events of Monday’s episode of the Flagship Show.

Jason Jordan was made the final member of Team RAW for the 5-on-5 match at Survivor Series. However, his status was in doubt after Bray Wyatt did a post-match attack, injuring the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion. That led to Jordan pleading with Kurt Angle to keep him on Team RAW.

Around the 10:30 p.m. ET part of RAW, Angle hit the ring to announce Jordan’s replacement. Though, his son also did come out, and pleaded his case to remain on the team. That didn’t work, as Stephanie McMahon pushed the RAW General Manager to announce the replacement: Triple H.

The Game made his way to the ring to confirm this. As a point of emphasis, he hit a Pedigree on Jordan and departed to the roar of the Atlanta crowd.

The addition of Triple H obviously adds to the star power of this 5-on-5 match at Survivor Series. It’s amazing how many top superstars are involved, with Team RAW having Angle, Triple H, Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe and Finn Balor. Team SmackDown has Shane McMahon, John Cena, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode and Shinsuke Nakamura.

This match has the makings of an instant classic, and it’s arguably the most anticipated bout of Sunday’s show. It should receive ample time, especially with Survivor Series being a four-hour show. Look for it to main event, too, over Brock Lesnar vs. AJ Styles.
