The 2017 NFL regular season is starting to get closer to the finish line, so lets take a look at what the 2018 NFL Draft might look like next April.

The NFL season is entering Week 11, and incredibly, the Cleveland Browns are still without a win. The Browns were joined by the San Francisco 49ers as winless teams up until last weekend, when the 49ers destroyed the one-win New York Giants. For now, it looks like those three teams will draft in the top-three selections, and for two of them, a new man under center is going to be needed.

April is a long way from now, but it is never too soon to take a look at what the first round might look like. The draft order will change a lot from now until Draft Day, so the first round could have a completely different feel come April. For now, this is what the draft might look like if the season ended tomorrow.

Here is the latest 2018 NFL Mock Draft.

1

Sam Darnold

Quarterback, USC

Through the first 10 weeks of the NFL season, only one team remains without a win. That team, not surprising to anybody, is the Cleveland Browns, who suffered a 14-point loss to the Detroit Lions this past weekend. The Browns are lost right now, playing uninspired football, and their head coach is likely on his way out. The team actually looked good early on against the Lions, but this team is just finding ways to lose this season.

Sitting at 0-9, the Browns will get a shot to put one in the win column this weekend against the Jacksonville Jaguars at home. The Jags are currently a playoff team, so the likelihood is that the Browns will fall to 0-10. That will make them only 1-25 over their last 26 games, so heads are definitely going to roll.

Even though the Browns selected DeShone Kizer in the second round last year, it will be hard for them to pass on a quarterback, especially in a draft so rich with talent at the position. The first quarterback selected should be Sam Darnold, although it is not definitely clear as to whether he will come out after his redshirt sophomore season. The lure of the playing for the Browns may be enough to keep him in school, as it will be very hard for a player to be excited about playing for the organization at this point.
