Charles Barkley made an incredible Iron Bowl bet with Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts.

With Auburn’s dominant win over No. 1 Georgia last weekend, the upcoming Iron Bowl between the Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide became that much more interesting. When these two take the field at the end of November for their annual rivalry game, it will be for the right to be called SEC West Champions.

Since the Iron Bowl means that much more this season, betting on the game will be crazier than normal. And if there is one thing that we know about NBA on TNT analyst and NBA legend Charles Barkley, it’s that the former Auburn Tiger does enjoy his gambling. But, would he really make a pretty insane bet with Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts? Of course he would, because he’s Charles Barkley and insane betting is what he does sometimes.

Barkley was on the radio in Birmingham on Tuesday, where he revealed to everyone that he and the Crimson Tide sophomore quarterback actually do have a wager on the contest. If Auburn wins the Iron Bowl, then Hurts must wear an Auburn jersey on campus in Tuscaloosa. However, should the Tide come away with the win, then Barkley will have to don the crimson on TNT for all the world to see.

“Jalen Hurts challenged me to a bet, and I ain’t forgot it, Jalen,” Barkley admitted via AL.com. “I’m either going to wear an Alabama jersey on TV or he’s going to have to wear (an Auburn jersey) on campus. … I’ve got the jersey coming.

“My Tigers need to win because I don’t want to wear that crap on TNT.”

Now that’s one hell of a wager. Although to be honest, it’d be just a little more hilarious to see Barkley on TNT pouting over having to wear Alabama stuff than it would be to see Hurts walking around campus in Auburn gear. I mean, come on, you’re telling me that you don’t want to see notable former LSU basketball star Shaq getting on Barkley’s case for sporting some Alabama gear and losing a bet to a college kid? Yes, you do.

So, if you want to see this, better get on the Crimson Tide bandwagon right now.
