By Nir Regev
Here’s how you can watch Designated Survivor season 2, episode 7 live online or the old-fashioned way right on your television.
No more nice guy on this week’s Designated Survivor as President Tom Kirkman is tired of being told “his hands are tied”. For the first time, Kirkman is raising his voice Jack Bauer style when his family is caught in the crosshairs of malicious intent. Tonight’s episode is aptly named “Family Ties” and features a plot centering around son Leo Kirkman’s uncertain future.
This season we’ve seen the First Lady’s mother targeted in a subpoena request by the FBI. Kirkman’s wife Alex already seemed unsure of her husband’s position on “weathering the storm” when it came to her mother. Now with Leo also being compromised, it could be signaling the start of something very important… The First Lady contemplating leaving The White House. Actor Kiefer Sutherland has alluded to “A midseason event that I believe will knock the socks off our audience”. This could be it.
Meanwhile, tension is brewing as a Turkish activist sets off protests in the U.S. with his extradition demanded abroad. How will President Kirkman navigate negotiations with Turkey’s President with his own family’s future teetering on the edge? We’ve seen Kirkman pushed to the brink a few times this season on Designated Survivor but eventually staying true to his views and morals. Will his patience finally break under the strain of dangers to his family?
