There are a few ways that South Park manages to keep itself relevant even after 21 seasons. The main thing they do is add new characters. Some are very well-received, such as PC Principal, while others aren’t so popular, such as Nathan and Mimsy.

Ever since those two were introduced in season 14, the episodes revolving around them have been some of the more boring and unfunny episodes in recent South Park history. There’s a reason why they’ve only been seen twice since their initial introduction. However, the writers are bringing them back in season 21, in an episode that revolves around Jimmy and Timmy.

These aren’t exactly the most exciting episodes to look forward to, especially since people tune in to South Park primarily to watch Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny. When they’re involved sparingly, or not at all, the drop in quality is noticeable. But it’s hard to stay topical for 21-plus seasons, so at least give the writers some credit for trying.

"Jimmy and Timmy’s project has caught the attention of some very important people. Their experiment could have far reaching implications that could save the world…and they might even win first prize in this year’s science fair."
