Every NFL team’s Mount Rushmore
Every team has their all-time greats from their franchise’s history books, but who would fill out each team’s Mount Rushmore if you had to pick?
Nowadays, most franchises in the NFL tend to see their fans follow the “what have you done for me lately?” approach whenever they look at their favorite teams, and they usually forget about some of the great history their favorite players were a part of.
Whether it’s a player winning multiple Super Bowls, breaking countless records or just entertaining them on the field with celebrations and different antics, every team has a few players who stick out in their history for different reasons. It helps make the sport more fun to follow and is an aspect that tends to be forgotten.
To help change that, it’s time to take a look at some of the great NFL memories of the past, and, more specifically, the incredible players in each franchise’s history. After a ton of research and thought, we have compiled every NFL team’s Mount Rushmore.
Check out each team’s mountain, and see if you agree with the faces that landed on your favorite franchise’s historic structures. The Arizona Cardinals start things off.
Arizona Cardinals
-Kurt Warner, Larry Fitzgerald, Larry Wilson, Jackie Smith
The first player has to be Kurt Warner, who, despite not spending a ton of time with the team, brought some serious success to the Cardinals franchise in his time under center. Warner brought the team to the Super Bowl in 2008, before losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers on one of the greatest, last-second catches you’ll ever see in a Super Bowl. Outside of that stinging loss, he helped make the team relevant again after some time away from the spotlight and was an important piece in the franchise’s history.
Another huge part of the franchise has to be Larry Fitzgerald, who has stuck with the team through thick and thin, and succeeded year in and year out. With endless quarterbacks coming through the ranks, Fitzgerald has been a rock (no pun intended) for the Cardinals on offense, and his talent can’t be overstated in the receiving corps.
To add onto that receiving talent on this Mount Rushmore, Jackie Smith makes the list for his impressive Hall of Fame run with the team when they were in St. Louis. He spent 15 seasons with the team, with 480 receptions for 7,918 yards and 81 career touchdowns, and adds to the receiving pedigree in the team’s history with his enshrinement in The Hall.

To round things out, we add Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Larry Wilson, who was a first-team All-Pro defensive back in five consecutive seasons and intercepted 52 passes during his 13-year career with the team. He was a huge defensive success for the team and helps to balance things out from the offensive trio that started the mountain.
