Every NFL team’s Mount Rushmore
Buffalo Bills
-Jim Kelly, Bruce Smith, Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed
The Buffalo Bills have never been too exceptional in their time in the NFL, but they’ve had some solid campaigns in their franchise history led by some NFL legends that can fill out their Mount Rushmore with ease.
Although they don’t have a Super Bowl title to their name, the Bills did make a certain type of history when they reached four straight Super Bowls from 1990 to 1993. Three of the bigger names on the team at that time were Jim Kelly, Bruce Smith and Thurman Thomas, and they take the first three spots on this Mount Rushmore for their roles in taking their team to the brink of the Promised Land for four straight years.
With Kelly under center, Thurman Thomas in the backfield behind him and Bruce Smith terrorizing opponents’ offenses seemingly every game, this team was almost unstoppable. That is, however, until they reached the Super Bowl, and refused to get it done year in and year out.
Meanwhile, the fourth name of this list could go to a lot of different people, but we’ll give the honor to Andre Reed. The wideout spent 15 seasons with the Bills, was a part of those four Super Bowl teams and is one of the best wide receivers in league history. Many would give this spot to the team’s owner or a guy like Joe DeLamielleure, but Reed takes the cake in my book.
You need this vintage Jim Kelly t-shirt.
All four members of this Mount Rushmore are Hall of Famers, which you will see is a bit of a rarity as we head through the rest of the teams in the NFL on this list. Somehow, the Bills have one of the better Mount Rushmore’s out of the entire league, but they’d likely take some other type of historic monument (or, in this case, trophy), instead.
