When will the next DC Comics movie following November 18’s Justice League hit theaters? We have all the information you need as you get ready for the next chapter in the DCEU.

The DCEU, as it were, didn’t get off to the hottest start with both Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice or Suicide Squad. However, the cinematic universe consisting of DC Comics characters made significant waves with Wonder Woman earlier this year.

The people behind the movies and the cinematic universe as a whole will look to make another step in the right direction with Justice LeagueJustice League brings together Wonder Woman and Batman, as well as introducing a trio of new key characters in The Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman. Ideally, the three characters would thrive in solo outings for Warner Brothers and DC. There’s also a sequel to Wonder Woman on the way, while Shazam! will also make its way to theaters.

All that being said, when does the next DCEU film following Justice League come out?

That would likely be Aquaman. Jason Momoa, who portrayed the character briefly in Batman vs Superman, and again in Justice League, will reprise his role in a movie centered on the Atlantean.

Things are obviously subject to change, but Aquaman is slated arrive in theaters in the United States on Dec. 21, 2018.

The film will star Momoa as Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Yaya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Patrick Wilson as Orm/ Ocean Master, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry and Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus.

James Wan, who previously helmed Furious 7 and both The Conjuring and Insidious movies, is directing. The film’s screenplay was written by Will Beall (Gangster Squad).
