The Chicago Bears will welcome the Detroit Lions to town on Sunday afternoon, as the two teams battle it out in a classic NFC North matchup.

The Chicago Bears will play their second home game in as many weeks on Sunday, as they take on NFC North rival Detroit inside Soldier Field. The Lions come into this game on a high, after beating the Cleveland Browns at home, and will now have to take care of business on the road. Chicago lost a heartbreaker to the Green Bay Packers last weekend, as they just could not do enough offensively to pull out the victory.

During the 2017 NFL season, the Bears have been tough at home, though the Lions bring about some serious challenges. Matthew Stafford is playing great football at quarterback, and he has a plethora of weapons on the offensive side of the ball. He got off to a slow start against the Browns, though don’t expect that to happen again this week, as he will certainly be prepared for a divisional game.

For Chicago, the year could bring about a lot of changes, as it may be time to move on from head coach John Fox. The Bears made the move to a rookie at quarterback, and most of the time, that is going to bring about some growing pains. Mitchell Trubisky will likely end up being a solid NFL quarterback, but he appears way over his head at times for the Bears, and that has led to turnovers.

Odds

Line: Detroit (-3.0)

Over/Under: 42.0

The Chicago Bears are home underdogs in this one, as they are getting 3.0 points from their divisional rival. The over/under is set at 42.0, which seems about right, as the Lions should be able to score a bunch in this one. This line and over/under has yet to be released, so head on over to OddsShark.com for any changes up until kickoff.

The Bears are going to struggle this season, but they do play very hard in front of their home fans. Stafford is just too good a quarterback to lose this game, though the Lions did show some kinks in their armor last weekend. If the Bears run the ball effectively, this could be a close one, but I like the Lions to come into Soldier Field and come away with a convincing victory on Sunday.

Final Score: Lions 30, Bears 21
