The New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders will head to Mexico City to do battle on Sunday in a huge AFC matchup inside Estadio Azteca.

The Week 11 matchup between the New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders was supposed to be a possible AFC Championship Game preview. Instead, the Raiders head to Mexico City with their playoff dreams on life support, and the Patriots are rolling over the NFL once again. If the Raiders are going to get back in the hunt, they need to knock off the Patriots, who at this point seem unstoppable.

Oakland is coming off a bye, so that could play into their favor. The issue with the Silver and Black is their inability to get stops on defense, especially on third down, which will play right into Tom Brady’s hands. Brady has been as good as ever in his age 40 season, and with the defense stepping up in recent weeks, they may prove to be too much for the Raiders at this point in the season.

Kickoff begins at 4:25 ET and this one could go either way. Either the Raiders took advantage of the bye week, and come in fired up, or they lay an egg against a tough Patriots team. With a loss, the Raiders are pretty much out of the playoff hunt, as they would already have six losses.

New England looks like world beaters once again this season, and the Raiders have been one of the more frustrating teams in the NFL. Derek Carr has that fourth quarter magic that is rare in the NFL, but will the Raiders be in this game late for him to  try and pull it out. Mexico City is in for a good one, and if Oakland comes out on top, then it could springboard their season.
