With Week 12 of the college football season in the books, we take a look at what the College Football Playoff would look like if the season ended tomorrow.

Just a week after one of the biggest slates of the college football schedule, Week 12 gave us mostly some big name programs going up against cupcakes. The Alabama Crimson Tide and Clemson Tigers played FCS teams, and No. 6 Auburn throttles Louisiana Monroe. There were a couple solid games, like Wisconsin vs. Michigan, where the Badgers won their 17th straight game with Alex Hornibrook under center.

The College Football Playoff ranking made for exciting television last Tuesday night, as a bunch of big time programs fell in Week 11. This week, expect more of the same, as the top four teams in the rankings all won this weekend. Miami got off to a slow start, as did Oklahoma, so if the committee is feeling a bit frisky, they could always move them around a bit when the next rankings come out on Tuesday.

Next week, Miami goes on the road to play Pittsburgh, trying to stay undefeated in the ACC, and overall. However, the biggest game on the slate will definitely come from the SEC, as the Crimson Tide take on the Auburn Tigers with a berth in the SEC title game on the line. Auburn is playing great football as of late, beating Georgia two weeks ago, so they might just be getting Alabama at the right time.

As we turn to Week 13, let’s take a look at what the College Football Playoff might look like if the season ended today. There is still a lot of football left, including conference title games, so anything can happen between now, and January.
