College GameDay returns for its latest episode on Saturday morning. Who will Lee Corso choose with his headgear pick to end the show, Wisconsin or Michigan?
Saturdays are for ESPN’s College GameDay, which features Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Lee Corso and other analysts, who break down the day’s slate of college football games. On Nov. 18, they will be on campus for Wisconsin vs. Michigan in Madison, WI. It’s a battle of two top Big Ten teams.
At the end of every episode, Corso does his headgear pick. Between the teams College GameDay is on campus for, he picks the winner and wears the school’s mascot headgear or uses a prop.
For Week 12, Corso must decide between the Badgers and Wolverines. It may be a tough decision, given that these teams are ranked and have played terrific football. So, which headgear will he wear to usher everyone into the college football weekend?
As for the matchup, Michigan looked out of it after dropping games to Michigan State and Penn State, while barely defeating Indiana in a three-week span. However, convincing wins over Rutgers, Minnesota and Maryland placed Big Blue at 8-2, with the No. 24 spot in the College Football Playoff Rankings.
Wisconsin remains perfect at 10-0, although it hardly received attention during this run. That’s probably due to not facing a ranked opponent until Week 11, with a 38-14 win over No. 20 Iowa. Saturday’s game is against the No. 24 team, so there will be no top 10 wins for the Badgers in the 2017 season. No matchups against Ohio State or Penn State, either. Unless the No. 5 team wins the Big Ten Championship Game.
