On Sunday at East Rutherford, the Kansas City Chiefs fell to the New York Giants What did we learn from this Week 11 tilt?
You don’t have to remind Kansas City Chiefs’ head coach Andy Reid what opening a season 5-0 means. Absolutely nothing. Just ask the 2015 Atlanta Falcons and the 2016 Minnesota Vikings. Both teams jumped out to similar starts and each finished 8-8 and out of the playoffs.
Why do we bring this up? It wasn’t long ago that the AFC West leaders began the year with five victories. But Reid’s team has slumped as of late. The club has dropped three of its last four outings but has had an extra week to shake off the mini-slump.
On the other hand, the New York Giants began 2017 at 0-5 and are in the midst of a three-game losing streak. So what did we expect to see at MetLife Stadium on Sunday? It was a struggle for both clubs and it took overtime to decide the issue. And it was the Giants who came away with the 12-9 overtime upset.

Three Stars
1. RB Orleans Darkwa
He totaled 20 carries for 74 yards on the ground and scored the only touchdown of the game as the New York Giant got their second win of the season by upsetting the Chiefs in overtime.
2. QB Eli Manning
The veteran signal-caller connected on 19-of-35 passes for 205 yards and did not commit a turnover as the Ben McAdoo’s squad out-slugged stunned Kansas City.
3. SS Landon Collins
The star defender finished with an impressive 14 tackles and one interception as the Giants’ defense kept Andy Reid’s club out of the end zone all afternoon.

Odds
The Chiefs were 10-points favorites on Sunday despite the fact that Reid’s team has lost three of its last four contests. The over/under was set at 44.5 for this clash at MetLife Stadium.
Next Week
The Kansas City Chiefs will be back at home to take on a talented but confusing bunch of Buffalo Bills. Meanwhile, the Giants won’t be getting much time to get ready for their next game as they travel to Landover, Maryland, to take on the Washington Redskins on Thanksgiving evening.
