In one of the scariest injuries of the 2017 NFL season, Zach Miller nearly lost his leg after being injured against the New Orleans Saints.
During Week 8 of the 2017 NFL season, Zach Miller injured his leg so bad that there was fear he may lose the limb. Playing on the road against the New Orleans Saints, Miller dislocated his knee, and in the process, did major damage to an artery in his leg. After 23 days, Miller finally left the hospital on Monday, though it remains to be seen if he will ever play football again.
The Denver Broncos have been a dumpster fire as of late, and on Monday, they fired their offensive coordinator. Mike McCoy was signed by the team this offseason after his tenure as the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers came to an end after the 2016 season. The Broncos have been stagnant on offense, have gotten nothing from their quarterbacks, and it appears the organization wanted to make an example out of somebody.
The Buffalo Bills decided to roll with Nathan Peterman at quarterback in Week 11 even though they were in a playoff race and their starter, Tyrod Taylor, was not playing terribly. Well, the experiment backfired, as Peterman threw five interceptions in his starting debut while completing only six passes. Taylor relieved him and threw and ran for a score, but somehow, the coaching staff is still undecided as to whom will be under center to start in Week 12.
Mitchell Trubisky led his Chicago Bears down the field late for a game-tying field goal on Sunday, only to see Connor Barth send it wide right. For his efforts, Barth was released by the team on Monday, and the organization promptly picked up former Kansas City Chiefs kicker Cairo Santos. Santos was released by the Chiefs due to a groin injury, but he is fully healthy, and at only 26 years old, should have a ton of big kicks left in him.

In sad NFL news, former New England Patriots wide receiver Terry Glenn was killed in a car accident on Monday morning. Glenn played 12 seasons in the NFL after the Patriots made him the seventh overall selection in the 1996 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. A solid player for many years, Glenn was only 43 years old. Condolences go out to all of his many friends and family.
