Will there be a new episode of Designated Survivor airing tonight on ABC or will we have to wait till next week to see President Kirkman?

Sorry friends, no new Designated Survivor episode will air tonight on ABC. Most likely, the episode was pushed a week because television audiences will be busy with family preparing for Thanksgiving. The next chapter and eighth overall episode “Home”, airs next Wednesday, Nov. 28. Last week’s episode, “Family Ties”, was quite a doozy, with President Kirkman’s family again targeted for strategical political maneuvering.

Son Leo Kirkman’s girlfriend Sibyl was revealed to be insincere of her true feelings toward Leo. Instead, she was using Leo for a larger geopolitical scheme by Turkey against the Kirkman administration. Sibyl was simply preying on Leo’s feelings toward her to set him and the White House up. Tom Kirkman went more than a bit Jack Bauer in his response, losing his cool for the first time on Designated Survivor.

President Kirkman is tired of being told his hands are tied on Designated Survivor

President Kirkman’s typically composed nature and patience saw a definitive change when his son became the focal point. He saw it as Turkey’s leader going after Tom Kirkman, the man, instead of President Kirkman. He made it a point to his inner circle that he would not give in the threat of Turkey leaving NATO.

No extradition of the potentially innocent Turkish professor to see a “firing squad” back home for accusations would take place. Kirkman asserted his power by stating that he would bury his opponent with bad press worthy of a civil war in his home country, turning the tables on Turkey’s leader and getting Kirkman’s own demands met instead.

President Kirkman and FBI Agent Hannah Wells are on route to Afghanistan on next week’s Designated Survivor episode. Intel cites a potential major threat back home originating from the country. Will the Kirkman administration be able to stop the potential attack in time?
