Will The Blacklist return to television screens across the country tonight, November 22, for the ninth episode of the show’s fifth season? We have all the details you need.
In the events of last week’s episode of The Blacklist, the show continued its ongoing storyline with the suitcase full of bones.
Audiences first saw the mysterious suitcase full of bones during the drama’s fourth season finale as Tom Keen picked them up from a storage locker at the behest of Mr. Kaplan.
The bones have played a key role ever since, with Tom going to great lengths to identify just whose skeleton is in the suitcase.
Raymond Reddington has been going to great lengths of his own to come into possession of said suitcase.
As it would happen, Tom and Red weren’t the only ones interested in the bones. New antagonist Ian Garvey has also been pursuing the contents of the suitcase. He and his men killed Elizabeth Keen’s ex Nik Korpal, as well as a pair of characters introduced in season 5 in Pete McGee and a woman named Carly.
Garvey would strike again.
He and his men kidnapped Tom and then Liz before a fight broke out.
Reddington and Dembe eventually showed up, but by that point the damage was already done. The husband and wife were rushed to the hospital, but as the episode ended, it was revealed that Tom died from the wounds received at the hands of Garvey’s hired hands while Liz was in a coma for 10 months.
So, will audiences see what happens next in a new episode of The Blacklist tonight, November 22?
That would be a no.
The drama is going on a winter hiatus, as many shows do. In its place, the game show The Wall will air new episodes.
