The college football season is incredibly exciting entering Week 13, and there are some big-name players who may have to sit out this weekend.
Week 13 of the college football season comes with some huge matchups, with one sending a team into the SEC Championship Game to take on the Georgia Bulldogs. The Alabama Crimson Tide will hit the road to take on Auburn, with the winner going to the conference title game. Washington State controls their own destiny in the Pac-12, as a win against Washington this weekend will send them into the Pac-12 title game against USC.
Here is a look at some key players who may miss time this week due to injury.
Quarterbacks
Will Grier, West Virginia
The West Virginia Mountaineers have a tall task on their hands this weekend as they take on Oklahoma in their regular season finale. Unfortunately for West Virginia, they will be without their quarterback, as Will Grier is done for the year. Grier broke his finger last weekend and will be out for the rest of the season.
Josh Allen, Wyoming
As we tick closer to the 2018 NFL Draft, Josh Allen has to be thinking about the possibility of being a first-round pick. In fact, he was announced with the seniors on Senior Day despite being a junior. Allen is questionable this Saturday against San Jose State, as he is dealing with a shoulder injury.
Danny Etling, LSU
The LSU Tigers take on Texas A&M this weekend, and they will likely have their signal-caller under center. Danny Etling is battling a hand injury, but is listed as probable this weekend. LSU has had an up and down season in 2017, but beating Texas A&M would be a nice way to end the regular season.
Brandon Peters, Michigan
The Michigan Wolverines will try to play spoiler this weekend, as they take on Ohio State in Ann Arbor. Brandon Peters is currently dealing with an undisclosed injury and is listed as questionable for the game. The Wolverines have had a disappointing season in 2017, but can end the regular season on a high note by beating the hated Buckeyes.
Running Backs
Bryce Love, Stanford
Arguably the best running back in the Pac-12, Bryce Love has his Cardinal team on the brink of going to the Pac-12 title game. The Cardinal need help, as they need Washington State to lose, but they also need to take care of business against Notre Dame. Love is currently listed as probable for the game, though he has been dealing with a nagging ankle injury as of late.
David Montgomery, Iowa State
Iowa State has played the roll of spoiler to a T this season, and has been a top 25 team for the bulk of the season. The Cyclones will take on Kansas State this weekend in a matchup that could go down to the wire. Iowa State will likely have running back David Montgomery back for the game, as he is listed as probable with an ankle.
Kamryn Pettway, Auburn
The Auburn Tigers will take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in a winner-take-all battle for supremacy in the SEC West Division. With a win, Auburn is in, though they will not have one of their bigger weapons on offense. Kamryn Pettway has been out with a shoulder injury and is just not healthy enough to go on Saturday.
Nyheim Hines, N.C. State
The North Carolina State Wolfpack have had a pretty solid season in 2017 and will finish out their regular season against North Carolina. Nyheim Hines is an explosive back, and while he is dealing with an undisclosed injury, the Wolfpack expect to have him back Saturday. With him in the backfield, the Wolfpack should roll against the Tar Heels.
Wide Receivers
Janarion Grant, Rutgers
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights close out their home schedule on Saturday against Michigan State, and they may be without one of their best weapons. Janarion Grant has been an electric player for Rutgers throughout his career but may miss his home finale. Grant is dealing with an undisclosed injury, and is officially listed as questionable.
Jazz Peavy, Wisconsin
The Wisconsin Badgers are looking to finish their regular season unbeaten and head into the Big Ten title game unblemished. On Saturday, they will take on Minnesota on the road and may be without one of their better wideouts. Jazz Peavy is dealing with an ankle injury, and is listed as questionable for the Big Ten matchup.
Equanimeous St. Brown, Notre Dame
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will look to crush Stanford’s Pac-12 title hopes on Saturday when they travel west to take on the Cardinal. Notre Dame may be without one of their better wideouts, as Equanimeous St. Brown is listed as questionable. St. Brown has a concussion and is not yet cleared to play.
Shay Fields, Colorado
The Colorado Buffaloes won the Pac-12 South last season, but are trying to become only bowl eligible in 2017. On Saturday, they will look for win No. 6 against Utah, but may be without Shay Fields. Fields is listed as questionable with an undisclosed injury, which would leave quarterback Steven Montez shorthanded in the passing game.
Tight Ends
Alex Marshall, Florida State
The Florida State Seminoles will close out their sorry season against Florida on Saturday, and they may be without their tight end. Alex Marshall is still having issues with his hand injury and is listed as questionable for the contest. A win against Florida would be a nice capper for an otherwise disappointing season in Tallahassee.
Caleb Roddy, LSU
The LSU Tigers will finish up their SEC slate against Texas A&M this weekend and should have quarterback Danny Etling ready to go. Caleb Roddy, his tight end, is still questionable for the game, as he is dealing with an undisclosed injury. The Tigers are more of a running team, but being without Roddy is still a significant loss to the offense.

Defensive Stars
Minkah Fitzpatrick, Alabama
The Alabama Crimson Tide SEC season comes down to one game, as they take on Auburn in the Iron Bowl this weekend. With a win, the Tide go back to the SEC title game, where they will take on Georgia. Standout cornerback Minkah Fitzpatrick missed last week’s game with a hamstring injury, but he will be ready to go on Saturday in a huge matchup.
Isaac Dotson, Washington State
The Washington State Cougars can win the Pac-12 North on Saturday, though they have to go into Husky Stadium to do so. The Cougars have some injuries up and down the roster, but it looks like they may be without one of their top linebackers in Isaac Dotson. Dotson is limited with a lower body injury, and is officially listed as questionable.
Harold Landry, Boston College
The Boston College Eagles will finish up their regular season on Saturday, as they take on the Syracuse Orange. The Eagles could be without star defensive end Harold Landry, who is dealig with an ankle injury. The injury has been a couple weeks now, and hopefully it is nothing long-term to affect the potential first round pick in next April’s NFL Draft.
Arden Key, LSU
Arden Key is likely to be one of the top picks in the 2018 NFL Draft, but his knee injury has been a problem for a few weeks now. The standout edge rusher is listed as questionable this weekend, as his Tigers take on Texas A&M. He may want to sit out the regular season finale, as he does not want to do anything to affect his draft status.
Dexter Lawrence, Clemson
The Clemson Tigers will take on South Carolina in their regular season finale, as they get ready to take on Miami in the ACC title game. Dexter Lawrence has been battling a foot injury, and is listed as questionable against the Gamecocks. The Tigers have arguably the best defensive line in college football, and Lawrence is a huge part of that.
