Is The Orville new tonight, November 23? Fans of Seth MacFarlane’s FOX series might not be sure if the sci-fi program is taking flight this Thursday, given that Thursday is also Thanksgiving Day. So should you be tuned in?
The answer is no. FOX is not running original programming on Thursday night, due to the fact that it’s a holiday. The next Orville season 1 episode will air Thursday, Nov. 30 in the show’s regular slot at 9 p.m.
However, there’s a caveat to tonight’s schedule change. While we now know the answer to “Is The Orville new tonight?” the network is also throwing TV viewers a bone, if you still want to be served some Seth MacFarlane space adventures after the Thanksgiving turkey.
The network is providing a repeat showing of The Orville‘s pilot episode tonight at its usual time. So if you’re a fan that came in late and hasn’t gone back to watch the first episode yet, or you just want to watch it again, you’ll have the opportunity to do so.
When the show returns next Thursday, expect the focus to shift to Lt. John Lamarr (J Lee) as he aims to advance his career aboard the ship, with some help from Kelly (Adrianne Palicki). But he might have to wait on that when the whole crew has to deal with a mysterious space anomaly that sets its sights on the vessel.
There’s no shortage of adventure left for the crew of The Orville; you’ll just have to wait another week.
