Fans of CBS‘s SWAT will want to avoid making plans on Thanksgiving night, as there’s still a new SWAT season 1 episode on Thursday even though it’s a holiday. And it’s one that might have a big impact.
Season 1, episode 4 is called “Radical” and focuses on Hondo (Shemar Moore) and his squad on the hunt for a bombing suspect after the bomber’s partner is killed with half their plan still in the works. Thursday’s episode is also a callback to the SWAT season 1 premiere, because when that’s done, Hondo decides to look up his predecessor Buck (Louis Ferreira of Motive), as he’s started to get concerned about how Buck is holding up now that he’s no longer on the force.
This may not be a Thanksgiving-themed episode, but “Radical” will be worth the watch if for no other reason than that subplot. Anyone who remembers how good Louis Ferreira was as Oscar Vega in Motive, or even going back to his work on Stargate Universe, will be glad to see him back with Shemar Moore.

"After a domestic bomber dies in a Highland Park explosion, the SWAT team races to find the man’s partner before more devices detonate. Also, Hondo reaches out to Buck, his former team leader, when he worries he is isolating himself after his recent firing."
