I had a decent week in college football pick em. I needed better than decent, but after last week, I’ll take it. Most of my picks against the spread went pretty well, I think. I came out in the black in the games I bet, but I haven’t tallied up all the games yet.

More from College Football Odds

For those of you that are new here, I put myself out there every week. For the last six years, I have picked every single college football game. Sounds easy, right? I thought so too. So I have picked them all against the spread. That significantly increases the degree of difficulty.

I take the average of the odds from the six major Vegas casinos and round that to the nearest half point. There will be no ties here. Ties are for the other football.

Some site will sell you top ten picks for a fee. Some will even give you a couple of free picks to lure you in. This is every game picked, all for free.

I will assign a point value ā€œbetā€ on each game, between one and five points. That way you can see just how confident I am in each pick. Look for those at the end of each line.

I cannot be responsible for you losing any of your worldly possessions, significant others, or limbs to a loan shark. This is for entertainment purposes only! I am a simple person. I cannot have that on my conscience.

We have a huge week of college football this week! All 62 games are FBS vs. FBS tilts. Rivalry week begins in earnest with 15 games on Black Friday. It will certainly be black for some teams. Let’s see which teams can make us money!

Western Michigan at Toledo(-13.5)(2): Toledo is 5-1 against the spread over the last six weeks. This offense is rolling right now, but this looks a little high. Western Michigan is a pretty solid team. I think I have to take the Broncos.

(2)Miami(FL)(-12.5) at Pittsburgh(3): The talent discrepancy is pretty big between these two right now. Miami is on a collision course with Clemson. They haven’t let anything derail them so far, coming back and blowing the doors off of Virginia in the fourth quarter. I still like Miami to cover this. After all, Pitt lost to North Carolina…..

Baylor at (12)TCU(-24.5)(2): This has been a trying season for the Bears, but this is a lot of points. Kenny Hill will be back, but is Baylor really this bad? The Bears looked good against Iowa State, but they have allowed at least 38 points in eight games already this season. Can they score enough on TCU? I have my doubts, but I’m taking Baylor because of that half.

Northern Illinois(-3.5) at Central Michigan(2): After a poor start, Central Michigan is 5-1 against the spread over the last six games. However, NIU has found a quarterback, and that defense is still pretty good. I think I have to go with the Huskies.

Navy at Houston(-4.5)(2): The Middies hung tough with SMU and Notre Dame. They can deal with this Houston offense. This line looks a bit off to me. I like Navy here.

Ohio(-4.5) at Buffalo(5): Really? What has Buffalo done lately, or overall, to deserve this? Is this a trick? This looks like easy money. Give me Ohio.Ā

Missouri(-9.5) at Arkansas(5):Ā I’m glad the line dropped below ten because I was feeling good about this one anyway. Now I feel great about it. M!I!Z! Z!O!U!

South Florida at (15)Central Florida(-9.5)(3): The USF defense is pretty terrible. I think the Bulls keep it close for a while, but UCF pulls away late. They make a New Years Six Bowl, and that will feel bittersweet because it will be managed by an interim coach. Sad, really.Ā

New Mexico at San Diego State(-20.5)(2): I still don’t trust the Aztecs, but New Mexico got gouged byĀ  an athletic UNLV team. San Diego State has the athletes to do the same. I’ll take SDSU.

Texas State at Troy(-24.5)(1): A team that is about as inconsistent as they come against a team that has only covered two spreads over a touchdown. Don’t touch this one. Since I have to pick, I’m taking the Bobcats.Ā

Iowa (-3.5) at Nebraska(4): Nebraska should want to finish strong for Mike Riley. I’m not sure they can. Iowa by at least a baker’s dozen.Ā

Western Kentucky(-2.5) at Florida International(3): The Hilltoppers haven’t really been a well oiled unit on offense this season, but they are getting better lately. FIU is reeling after getting blasted by rival Florida Atlantic. I have to take WKU.

(25)Virginia Tech(-7.5) at Virginia(3): This game is in Charlottesville, and the Hokies really have not played very well lately. Virginia put up a hell of a lot more of a fight against Miami than the Hokies did three weeks ago. I wouldn’t be all that shocked if the Hoos win outright. Give me UVA.

Texas Tech at Texas(-9.5)(2): This looks a touch high to me. The Red Raiders are stumbling down the stretch right now, but that Texas offense still doesn’t look great. Tech needs this to make a bowl. I tend to think that if they miss another one, Kingsbury is gone. Will they rally around their coach when they still have a chance to save him? Maybe. Give me Texas Tech.Ā

California at UCLA(-6.5)(3): Winner goes to a bowl! I think UCLA jumped the gun a bit by firing Jim Mora, especially after the Bruins played their best two games of the season. This will demoralize them. I like Cal, and wouldn’t be shocked if they won outright.Ā
