Titans at Colts: Preview, prediction, odds and pick
By John Buhler
The Indianapolis Colts will host the Tennessee Titans on Sunday afternoon in Week 12. Here is a game preview, the betting odds and a final score prediction.
It’s Thanksgiving week in the NFL. One of those games going on Sunday afternoon will feature AFC South rivals when the Tennessee Titans (6-4) take on the Indianapolis Colts (4-6). Kickoff from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis at 1:00 p.m. ET on Nov. 26. Chris Myers and Daryl Johnston will be in the booth to call this game on behalf of FOX.
Tennessee enters play at 6-4 on the year and in possession of the No. 5 seed in the AFC playoff picture. The Titans are one game back of the Jacksonville Jaguars (7-3) in the AFC South race. Tennessee has a one-game lead over the Baltimore Ravens (5-5) for the last spot in the AFC playoffs. Look for Tennessee to be in the playoff picture into the final Sunday of the season.
Indianapolis enters play at 3-7 on the year. The Colts have to pretty much win out to have any shot at making the AFC playoffs. That’s probably not happening, as franchise quarterback Andrew Luck won’t play a down for the Colts this season. His backup Jacoby Brissett has played very well in place of him, all things considered.
Betting Odds
Point Spread: Indianapolis +3
Moneylines: Tennessee -160, Indianapolis +150
Over/Under: 45.5
According to OddsShark, the Colts will be getting three points at home from the visiting Titans. The associated moneylines for this gamer are Tennessee -160 and Indianapolis +150. This game’s over/under comes in at a combined 45.5 points.
Though this game is played on turf, let’s side with the under in this one because neither team’s offense is really all that capable of hanging tough in a shootout. For either team to win games, they have to win the turnover margin and battle it out in a low-scoring game.
Since this is Indianapolis’ last gasp at making a playoff push, you can expect that they will give the Titans everything they can handle in this ball game. However, Tennessee will prove to be the better team in the trenches.

It will be all tied up at 17 heading into the fourth quarter. Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota will orchestrate a game-winning drive inside of three minutes that will result in Derrick Henry finding pay dirt on the ground. The Titans improve to 4-7, while the Colts fall to 3-8 on the season. Tennessee finds a way to win and cover the three-point spread.
Pick: Titans 24, Colts 17
