College Football Picks Against the spread afternoon November 25, 2017

I had a decent week in college football pick em. I needed better than decent, but after last week, I’ll take it. Most of my picks against the spread went pretty well, I think. I came out in the black in the games I bet, but I haven’t tallied up all the games yet.

More from College Football Odds

For those of you that are new here, I put myself out there every week. For the last six years, I have picked every single college football game. Sounds easy, right? I thought so too. So I have picked them all against the spread. That significantly increases the degree of difficulty.

I take the average of the odds from the six major Vegas casinos and round that to the nearest half point. There will be no ties here. Ties are for the other football.

Some site will sell you top ten picks for a fee. Some will even give you a couple of free picks to lure you in. This is every game picked, all for free.

I will assign a point value ā€œbetā€ on each game, between one and five points. That way you can see just how confident I am in each pick. Look for those at the end of each line.

I cannot be responsible for you losing any of your worldly possessions, significant others, or limbs to a loan shark. This is for entertainment purposes only! I am a simple person. I cannot have that on my conscience.

We have a huge week of college football this week! All 62 games are FBS vs. FBS tilts. Rivalry week continues with 15 games that kick off between 3 and 6 pm eastern time. Let’s check those spreads!

LINCOLN, NE – SEPTEMBER 02: Offensive lineman Jaypee Philbert Jr. #55 and offensive lineman Jacob Still #64 and offensive lineman Troy Elliot #67 of the Arkansas State Red Wolves lead the offensive on the field against the Nebraska Cornhuskers at Memorial Stadium on September 2, 2017 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Old Dominion at Middle Tennessee State(-13.5)(3): This look high. Old Dominion is a solid team. I’ll take the Monarchs and the points.

Arkansas State(-7.5) at Louisiana-Monroe(4): This looks pretty low. And besides, Monroe might be looking ahead to Florida State……give me the Red Wolves.

UNLV at Nevada(-2.5)(3): These teams really don’t like each other. Having the game in Reno does make a difference, but I think UNLV has a much better team. I’ll take the Rebels.

(1)Alabama(-5.5) at Auburn(2): I have a feeling about this game. The chaos started yesterday with Miami losing. The door is wide open for the SEC to put two teams in. I will go with Auburn.

(5)Wisconsin(-17.5) at Minnesota(2):Ā This looks kind of high for a rivalry game. I know…….Minnesota just got blasted by Northwestern. Yeah, that kind ofĀ  loss might be too much. Give me Wisconsin anyway.

(10Penn State(-23.5) at Maryland(2): Well, the Penn State defense got gouged by Nebraska in garbage time. Maybe Maryland can do the same at home. I’ll take the Turtles.Ā

North Carolina at (19)North Carolina State(-16.5)(2): II hate big lines in rivalry games. I kind of think that North Carolina at least partially shows up here. Give me the Heels.

(25)Boise State(-6.5) at Fresno State(5): That Boise offense is finally playing to its potential. This looks very low. Fresno will hang around for a while, but they are still going to lose by double digits. Give me Boise.Ā

Iowa State at Kansas State(-2.5)(2): Iowa State lost a lot of offensive firepower when Kempt went down. K-State has been even better without Jesse Ertz. I have to go with the Wildcats. They were impressive against Oklahoma State. Ā UPDATE: Kempt is playing, so I’m switching to Iowa State.

West Virginia at (4)Oklahoma(-22.5)(2): Honestly, Oklahoma came up with the best punishment they could for Mayfield. Not letting him start the game is going to rile him up. By the time he gets in there, whenever that may be, Mayfield is going to be all sorts of fired up. This is a lot of points, but I think that Oklahoma shows up and covers this. Call this the I’m-glad-I-don’t-have-to-play-Bama-in-the-opening-round-of-the-playoffs-bowl.

(17)Michigan State(-13.5) at Rutgers(2): This looks high .Michigan State’s offense is a slow moving unit, and Rutgers has been better lately. At least at home. Give me Rutgers.Ā

(23)Northwestern(-16.5) at Illinois(3): I don’t care if this is a rivalry. Illinois is not a good team right now. They will be fun to watch in a year or two, but right now, they are too young to hang around here. Give me Northwestern.

Vanderbilt at Tennessee(-1.5)(3): Nope. Vandy wins this, maybe by double digits.Ā

Temple (-4.5) at Tulsa(2):Ā I don’t really know about this one. I kind of like Tulsa at home. Yeah, that sounds good to me. Give me the Sandstorm.

Idaho at New Mexico State(-9.5)(2): This is Idaho’s FBS swan song, and Matt Linehan wont even get to play in it. It’s an unfortunate end for an Idaho team that went to a bowl game last year. I want Idaho to keep it close, but I’m not sure they can. I have to go with New Mexico State.
