Jarrett Stidham called his own shot a year ago when he predicted Auburn would be playing for the SEC Championship.
The Alabama Crimson Tide are unbeaten no longer, as they were handed their first loss of the season on Saturday by the Auburn Tigers in the annual Iron Bowl. In the win for Auburn, transfer quarterback Jarrett Stidham was phenomenal against the Alabama defense, going 21 of 28 for 237 yards with his arm while adding in 51 yards on the ground with his legs and one score.
Apparently, though, football is not the only thing that Stidham is good at. As it turns out, Stidham is also quite the Nostradamus impersonator.
Immediately after the win by Auburn on Saturday, Twitter was quick to remind everyone that during last year’s SEC Championship Game between Alabama and the Florida Gators, Stidham made a proclamation that he and the Tigers would be getting the opportunity one year later.

Yes, as you can see from the date and timestamp, Stidham got on his phone and tweeted this during the actual playing of the game. As he was getting set for his first year under center as the Auburn starting quarterback, he just had a feeling that he and this team would do some great things. Well, as it turns out, he was correct.
And with the way he’s played this season, you could tell how driven Stidham was to get to this point. He has been an amazing addition to Gus Malzahn’s offense, and as the year has gone on, he’s only seemed to improve with each passing game.
Stidham has already reached the goal he set for him and Auburn last year, so now we see if he can takes things a few steps further in the coming weeks.
