The Wisconsin Badgers are one of the few unbeaten teams still left in college football. yet, for some reason, there are still teams ahead of them who have lost a game. Why are these Badgers constantly overlooked? It might have something to do with their weak schedule. But these Badgers do not care what the rest of the country thinks of them. As long as they keep winning games, that is really all they care about. And if they go unbeaten, it will be really hard to keep this team out of the playoff. Paul Chryst and his boys win games the hard way. They run the ball better than their opponent, and their defense is up with the best in the country. Wisconsin is led by quarterback Alex Hornibrook, who has 2006 yards and 18 touchdowns, and their freshmen running back Jonathan Taylor, who has 1657 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Minnesota made a big splash hire this past offseason when they were able to lure P.J. Fleck from Western Michigan. Fleck was expected to come in and bring that tough nosed football to the Twin Cities. He has not quite done that this year, but it is hard to judge a coach on his first year. Minnesota is led by quarterback Conor Rhoda, who has 839 yards and five touchdowns. Rhoda has some good weapons to get the ball to and help the Gophers put up some points. Running back Rodney Smith has 895 yards and three touchdowns, and receiver Quintez Cephus has 501 receiving yards and six touchdowns. The Gophers have the chance to end the Badger’s playoff hopes this year this weekend at TCF Bank Stadium.
