DraftKings NBA picks November 26: Who’s The Star Today?
There are only three games on Sunday for those of us that prefer the NBA over the NFL. I realize that we are in the minority, but I’m okay with that. We should be able to get anyone we want in our lineup with a little creative budgeting!

The money line was pretty high again at 297.75 DraftKings points. I put one lineup at 298.25 and the other at 286.5. Both are good scores, but they really get crazy with all of the value plays we have had, often at the last minute, this week.
The winning lineup was high again at 376. He built a more well rounded lineup and got great value from Kyle O’Quinn and T.J. McConnell.

Point Guards
Best Bets:
Goran Dragic ($7,300): Dragic picked up 37.25 DraftKings points in his first game against the Bulls. It has been a rough season in Chicago so far for many reasons. Now they are currently the worst team in the league at allowing fantasy points to point guards. This is a great place to use Dragic since 5x value is all but assured.
Spencer Dinwiddie ($7,000): Dinwiddie has averaged 37 DraftKings points per game since D’Angelo Russell went down. Many people will lay off of him because of Memphis and their tough point guard defense. That only applies with a healthy Mike Conley. Chalmers is a solid player, but he is nowhere near as good as Conley defensively. Dinwiddie should have another strong day.
Honorable Mention:
Mario Chalmers ($6,000): Chalmers struggled some against Denver and Dallas, but that will happen. He hasn’t had a bad game since Conley went down, but Chalmers was a great value because of usage related to price, not because of talent level. He has a low ceiling at this price, and isn’t a guaranteed 5x value here. That said, Brooklyn is a solid matchup for him, so his floor should be raised a little.
Kris Dunn ($5,900): The whole Bulls team was awful on Saturday, so I will just ignore that game. Miami is tough on the point, but Dunn has been so far above value lately that he may still outscore Chalmers. His upside is tempered against a team like Miami, but if you are looking for a solid value play, Dunn is a decent choice on a small slate.
Dark Horses:
Tyler Ulis ($4,200): Ulis has been outplaying Mike James in less minutes for much of the last two weeks. I don’t expect the minutes allotment to change much, if at all, but I do expect Ulis to continue outplaying James. Ulis has more upside anyway. He looks like a great option against the Timberwolves.
Tyus Jones ($3,600): Jones did very well in his start for Jeff Teague on Saturday. He racked up 32 DraftKings points against a solid Miami team. If Jones starts again, I will have him in every lineup, no questions asked. If Teague plays, I’m off of this.
My pick: Dragic(PG), Dinwiddie(G), Ulis(UTIL); Chalmers(PG)

Shooting Guards:
Best Bets:
Jimmy Butler ($7,500): Miami is solid, but Butler still put up a respectable 31 DraftKings points on them. I am higher on Butler tonight, especially if Devin Booker sits. If Booker is out, I will have Butler in a lot of places as well. If Booker plays, Butler is still a solid option.
Dion Waiters ($6,100): Waiters put up a solid 30.75 DraftKings points on the Bulls in the first meeting. He is prone to the occasional dud since Waiters relies mostly on shooting. However, he should see plenty of open shots today. If you don’t trust Butler, Waiters is a solid alternative.
Honorable Mention:
Denzel Valentine ($5,400): The whole Bulls team was a dumpster fire against the Warriors, yet Valentine still came very close to 5x value. That tells me that the Bulls are putting a lot of trust in Valentine. If they are, then I will too against the Heat, a team that doesn’t defend well on the perimeter.
Allen Crabbe ($5,000): Crabbe struggled against his old teammates, but he has done well against the rest of the league. He had not been under 4x value since November 11 prior to the Portland game. Lost among the success of Memphis is their inability to guard off the ball this year. Crabbe should see plenty of good shots tonight.
Dark Horses:
Caris LeVert ($4,300): LeVert has seen an increased workload with Russell out of the picture. He has responded with at least 20 DraftKings points in the last five games. LeVert is still running with the second unit, so his upside is capped, but he doesn’t need to do much to hit 5x value. He is worth a look if you are trying for a road less traveled.
Joe Harris ($3,600): Harris has been red hot on the second unit for the Nets lately. He has 60.75 DraftKings points over just the last two games! That makes Harris a tremendous value right now, but there is no guarantee that he can keep it up. It does help that Harris is seeing a consistent 20 minutes per game now though.
My pick: Crabbe(SG); Butler(SG), Valentine(G)

Small Forwards:
Best Bets:
T.J. Warren ($7,100): Warren racked up 46 DraftKings points on the Timberwolves in the first go round, and that was with a healthy Devin Booker alongside him. If Booker plays, he likely wont be 100%, so Warren is worth a look. If Booker sits, Warren will be the one that takes over a bulk of the scoring, turning him into a must play option.
Tyreke Evans ($6,900): Chalmers is holding his own, so Evans hasn’t been running the point lately, which has decreased his value. Evans is still a scorer capable of putting up big numbers on any given night. The Nets are in the middle of the pack against small forwards, so 5x value is likely here.
Honorable Mention:
Andrew Wiggins ($6,500): Wiggins’ production has still been solid even with what Jimmy Butler is doing. It has been Towns’s scoring numbers that have decreased. The presence of Butler takes away from the upside of Wiggins, but Phoenix is a team that the whole team can have success against. Almost everyone is worth a look!
Justin Holiday ($5,600): Whenever you decide to run any Bulls, you are taking a sizeable risk. That was highlighted in spades against the Warriors on Friday. Holiday didn’t do so well in the first meeting with Miami, but that was also a month ago now. Holiday’s role on the Bulls has changed. the Heat don’t look like a team that can dominate to me, so Chicago should be able to hang around tonight.
Dark Horses:
Justise Winslow ($4,200): Winslow has carved out a little larger role on the team so far. However, he still doesn’t play more than 25 minutes, so his ceiling is very low. Winslow is probably best suited for cash games, but he does have ample upside against the Bulls.
Josh Jackson ($3,700): Jackson helped pick up the slack nicely with Booker struggling on Friday. Due to that, there is a chance that Jackson would enter the starting lineup if Booker is forced to sit. Keep an eye on his situation. If Jackson starts, I want a piece of that action.
My pick: Warren(SF); Warren(SF)

Power Forwards
Best Bet:
Lauri Markkanen ($6,400): Markkanen went for 41.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Heat. He likely wont do that again with Portis around, but Markkanen has consistently outdone Portis since Portis’s first game back. The rookie continues to see most of the minutes at the position, so Markkanen is easily the safest option in the Bulls frontcourt.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson ($6,300): Hollis-Jefferson has become more involved in the offense, which has dramatically increase his value in DFS. RHJ is still a rebounding machine. but he is also scoring nearly 15 points a game. Memphis is solid up front, but Hollis-Jefferson’s price is much lower than his output would suggest it should be.
Honorable Mention:
James Johnson ($5,800): Johnson has trouble against teams that are big in the middle. He wont have that issue tonight. Chicago is better up front than on the perimeter, but that isn’t saying a lot at this point. Johnson has the ability to put up enough points to be a difference maker for the Heat and for our DFS lineup.
Taj Gibson ($5,500): Gibson’s inconsistency makes him hard to use for DFS purposes, especially in cash games. However, Gibson picked up 35.25 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Phoenix. He doesn’t have crazy upside, but he has enough against the Suns to make him worth a look on a small slate.
Dark Horses:
Trevor Booker ($4,700): Booker flirts with a double-double off of the bench just about every game. His upside is capped because he is not a starter, but you aren’t expecting a 60 spot from this price range. Booker could get you well over 30 on any given night though.
JaMychal Green ($4,400): Is it just me, or does Green’s price look too low? Green has had at least 5x value in four straight games. He is finally working up to his full compliment of minutes for Memphis, and has a pretty good matchup with Brooklyn tonight if you need to save money.
My pick: Markkanen(PF), Green(F); Markkanen(PF)

Center:
Best Bets:
Karl-Anthony Towns ($8,900): Its a small slate, so you may be wondering why I’m not on Whiteside. There are several reasons. First off, the Bulls have allowed the fourth fewest points to centers this season. Second, Whiteside played just 24 minutes on Friday and didn’t practice yesterday because of a sore knee. The last thing you want on Whiteside is a sore anything. Meanwhile, Towns put up 43 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Phoenix. One reason to fade Towns: he doesn’t have more than 40 DraftKings points since November 15.
Marc Gasol ($8,500): Gasol is one of the most consistent forces at center in the league. That alone is enough for me to play Gasol on any given night. When you have him on a short slate, I really can’t think of a good reason to fade Gasol unless he is hurt.
Honorable Mention:
Greg Monroe ($4,900): Monroe once again finds himself in a timeshare with players that he shouldn’t be in a timeshare with. Tyson Chandler will start because he is a much better defender, but Monroe’s offensive chops translate well against Towns. I expect him to have a solid night when he is in there. Whenever that may be.
Robin Lopez ($4,600): Lopez put up 33.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Miami. He could have an even more favorable matchup tonight if Whiteside’s balky knee keeps him out. Even if you don’t need to conserve money, I like Lopez to far outdo his price point in this one if Whiteside is out. Even if Whiteside is in there, Lopez is a strong play.
Dark Horses:
Alex Len/Tyson Chandler ($4,500): Both Len and Chandler have thrived with Monroe around. Whatever is causing this, both of them have been over 6x value since Monroe’s arrival. So feel free to start any Suns big against Minnesota tonight.
My pick: Gasol(C); Gasol(C), Len(F), Lopez(UTIL)
