Week 13 brought to an end the tenure of multiple college football coaches. These are the winners and losers of the hot seat.

With the regular season finished in college football, the hot seat is having its shining moment. That, of course, means that coaches around the country are being fired left and right now that there is nothing left to play for.

The firings have been going on for some time now and it has all reached a boiling point. Whether it’s Todd Graham, Kevin Sumlin or others, the unemployment line has gotten longer and programs will be in search of replacements.

Everyone is going to be looking for that next coach to turn their program around. While there are a lot of losers on the hot seat, there are also some winners as well who kept their jobs for at least one more season. Here are the winners and losers of this week’s hot seat watch.

Winner – David Beaty, Kansas

The Kansas Jayhawks finished the season with just one victory. They suffered yet another loss in the regular season finale and David Beaty finished his third season with the program with only three wins overall.

For most programs that would be cause for firing. However, Kansas is in such a long rebuilding of the program, that they aren’t going to be ditching Beaty just yet. By virtue of getting a fourth season, Beaty is a winner.

Yeah, his team lost again. That’s not much of a shocker to anyone, but the fact that they’re giving him another season might soon be able to provide the stability that this program is sorely in need of.
