Quenton Nelson

Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

The Miami Dolphins are laboring through a disappointing season, one that started when starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill injured his knee during the Summer. Since then, they have coaxed Jay Cutler out of retirement, only to see him go down to an injury as well. As of now, Matt Moore is back under center for the Dolphins, and they seem to be destined for another losing season, after making a surprising run towards the Wildcard last season.

For the Dolphins, they are going to have to bring in some more talent along the offensive line. The team went out and drafted Laremy Tunsil two years ago, and he has been solid at the left tackle position. If they can bring in an elite guard during the 2018 NFL Draft, they should be able to protect whoever they have playing quarterback down the road. Quenton Nelson from Notre Dame is the best guard prospect in this draft, and he is going to be a special one at the next level.

Nelson has teamed with Mike McGlinchey to give Notre Dame one of the more dominant offensive lines in college football, and Miami needs to start up front. Jay Ajayi is gone, but they have weapons on the outside, and if Tannehill comes back healthy, he should be back in there as the starter. This team was a playoff team a year ago, so if they can add a couple pieces this offseason, they should be challenging for a Wildcard in 2018.
