The college football recruiting landscape is always changing so let’s catch up with what happened last week in our latest recruiting roundup.

Week 13 was one of the wildest of the 2017 college football season with the top two teams in the nation going down via upset. However, it was equally as intriguing off the field. While teams like Auburn won big on the field, they also cashed in off the field.

In fact, the Tigers beat the No. 1 team in the nation, Alabama, in the Iron Bowl and also landed two commitments from top-tier prospects. What else happened around the recruiting world in Week 13?

Let’s take a look at some of the top stories from our weekly recruiting roundup.

Auburn picks up two big commitments

Two days before the big game against No. 1 Alabama, the Tigers got some positive momentum on the recruiting trail, landing a pair of four-stars. The first was four-star athlete Richard Jibunor from Athens, Ga., who’s ranked as the No. 228 overall player in the class and the second was four-star wide receiver Seth Williams from Cottondale, Ala., who is listed as the No. 156 player in the 2018 class. These two provided some momentum for the Tigers on Saturday as they took down the Crimson Tide.

Top-50 wide receiver picks Texas Tech

Kliff Kingsbury is looking to hold on to his job in Lubbock with Texas Tech, but it’ll take a serious turnaround next season — if he’s not gone before then. Erik Ezukanma, the nation’s No. 42 receiver, bought into Kingsbury’s system, though, and committed to the Red Raiders in Week 13, spurning programs such as Utah, Arkansas, TCU, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Houston, Washington State and Wisconsin. The Keller, Texas, native stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 183 pounds. He is also the No. 239 player in the class.

P.J. Fleck lands his future quarterback

Minnesota had a rough week. First, they were dismantled by Wisconsin in the annual rivalry game and then they lost Demry Croft, a young dual-threat quarterback, to transfer as he stated that he was treated unfairly by the coaching staff led by P.J. Fleck. The first-year head coach responded by landing the No. 1 JUCO dual-threat, Victor Viramontes. He’s listed as the No. 13 JUCO player for 2018 and could very well take over the starting job next season.

Oregon snatches local linebacker

Oregon head coach Willie Taggart has been in the discussion for potential job openings across college football, but it seems as if he’s staying put in Eugene for the time being. He also landed one of the top linebackers in the Pacific Northwest in four-star Eli’jah Winston. The outside linebacker from Portland, Ore., is the No. 332 player in the class and 23rd-best at the position. He could help bring this defense back to relevancy.
