Tennessee Titans receiver Rishard Matthews will honor Colin Kaepernick this weekend with some pretty awesome cleats.
While he hasn’t played a game on an NFL field this season, nor has he even been signed by a team, without question Colin Kaepernick has been at the forefront of some of the hottest discussions this year. As he continues to fight for his cause, players around the league have done all they can to support him in his venture, which of course includes the much-publicized national anthem protests.
This coming weekend when the Tennessee Titans welcome in the Houston Texans in AFC South action, Titans wide receiver Rishard Matthews will honor Kaepernick in a way not yet seen this season. As we know, this year players have been allowed to sport some customized cleats for the #MyCauseMyCleats initiative.
Well, that is exactly how Matthews will go about paying homage to Kaepernick and the message he’s trying to spread. On Wednesday, Matthews revealed these pretty awesome cleats that he will have on Sunday when the Titans take on the Texans.

Through injuries and just overall poor play, there have been many instances where people believe Kaepernick should have been afforded the opportunity to get a spot on an NFL roster this season. But, for whatever reason, he’s barely even gotten a look from most teams that were in need of some quarterback help. It truly has been mind-boggling but … well, fans have more or less drawn their own conclusions as to why he has not received a job.
But, again, his fellow NFL players have done all they can this season to make sure that he is not forgotten as the season plays itself out, and this tribute from Matthews with the cleats takes the Kaepernick initiative a step further.
