The Los Angeles Chargers will take on the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, as they look to continue their rise towards a potential playoff spot in 2017.

Over the past couple of weeks, the Los Angeles Chargers have been on a roll. With their defense playing good football, and Philip Rivers putting up solid numbers, the Chargers have become a formidable playoff team in the AFC. They still have a lot of work left to do, as they started off the year at 0-4, but no team wants to play them right now.

Unfortunately for the Cleveland Browns, they will have to head West to take on the Chargers on Sunday, in a game that should keep them out of the win column. Heading into Week 13, the Browns are the only team without a victory this season, and are currently slated to pick first in the 2018 NFL Draft. With that pick, they will likely select a quarterback, as 2017 second-rounder DeShone Kizer has not shown he can lead this franchise long-term.

The Chargers are heavily favored in this one, and for good reason. They have been putting up points in bunches as of late, and with the defense getting after the quarterback with ease, it should make for a long day for Kizer. The Browns do get Josh Gordon back this weekend, as he plays for the first time since 2014, but it won’t make much of a difference in this one.

Odds

Line: Los Angeles Chargers (-13.5)

Over/Under: 42.5

The Chargers are heavy favorites against the Browns on Sunday, as they are giving them nearly two touchdowns. The over/under is set at 42.5, and it is likely the Chargers put the biggest dent in that number against the Browns. This line will change a lot throughout the week, so head on over to OddsShark.com for any changes up until kickoff.

Prediction

The Chargers are going to cruise in this one, as they run their record to .500 on the season. Kizer is going to look to get Gordon going early, and he may even score one, but this one is not going to be close. Look for three touchdowns from Rivers against a bad Browns defense, who is going to be on the field a lot on Sunday afternoon.

Final Score: Chargers 31, Browns 10
