Vancouver Canucks forward Daniel Sedin has joined brother Henrik at the 1,000 point mark. Daniel Sedin got his 1,000th point against the Nashville Predators courtesy of an assist from Brock Boeser and brother Henrik Sedin.

Daniel Sedin, 37, has broken the 1,000 point mark for his NHL career. He did so on a goal assisted by Brock Boeser and brother Henrik Sedin on Thursday night against the Nashville Predators.

Daniel Sedin was about to get his 1,000th and 1,001st NHL point, all with the Canucks, in his 1,251st career game. This puts both Sedin brothers over the 1,000 point mark as Henrik has 1,036 career points in 1,274 games.

Daniel has accumulated his 1,001 NHL points in the form of 376 goals and 625 assists. This goes along with his 71 career playoff points in 102 career playoff games.

He has been, along with his brother, one of the most prominent players in the league for Vancouver since being drafted in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut during the 2000-01 season, breaking the 20-goal mark for the first time of 10 separate occasions during his career.

His best season came in 2010-11 when he played in all 82 games for the Canucks. He scored 41 goals and added 63 assists to his tally during that season, both career highs. He helped to lead the Canucks to the Stanley Cup Finals, where they would eventually lose to the Boston Bruins.

During that career year for him he would go on to win his only two individual awards of his career. Daniel Sedin would win the Art Ross Trophy and the Ted Lindsay award.

On top of scoring goals, he has made a name for himself in creating them. He has broken the 30 assist mark on 11 occasions during his career. The most recent season was back in 2015-16 when he recorded 28 goals and 33 assists over 82 games.

Daniel Sedin is second all-time on the Canucks scoring list to brother Henrik, and is only the second ever player to break 1,000 points with the Canucks. The next closest player on the all-time points list is Markus Naslund who had 756 career points with Vancouver.
