The FanSided soccer staff make their predictions for the weekend’s Premier League games, including Arsenal vs. Manchester United at the Emirates.

The Premier League kicks off a packed December schedule this weekend with a full slate of games, including a big six matchup between Arsenal and Manchester United at the Emirates in Saturday’s late kickoff.

United successfully navigated a difficult away trip to Watford on Tuesday, taking a big halftime lead thanks to two excellent Ashley Young goals, before holding off a Hornets comeback in the second half to eventually win 4-2.

The result left Jose Mourinho’s side on 32 points, eight behind league leaders Manchester City, but three ahead of third-place Chelsea. However, if they hope to get anything against Arsenal, they’ll need to be better at the back than they were on Tuesday.

The Gunners are arguably in better form than any team in the league right now (other than City, obviously), having won their past three league games by a combined scored of 8-0, including a 2-0 win against Tottenham in the north London derby.

The other highlights of the weekend’s matches are Chelsea’s match against Newcastle at Stamford Bridge; Liverpool’s trip to 10th-place Brighton; and the south coast derby on Sunday, when Bournemouth look for a much-needed win at home against Southampton.

The clash at the Emirates is a tough one to call, with two of our writers picking an Arsenal win, two picking a United one and four going for a draw. Here’s how the predictions table stands heading into the weekend’s matches:
